Stateroom
When I was doing research for this trip, it was really hard to find information and pictures of storage available in staterooms. We stayed in a Category C SP Superior Balcony Stateroom, room 637, and I was surprised by the large amount of storage. I didn’t get a photo, but below the ice bucket was a fridge. It was stocked with soda and water, but it was an extra charge.
I recommend bringing magnetic hooks because the room walls are magnetic. I used an over-the-door hanging organizer in the bathroom for my toiletries. Check out my packing list.
Amenities
The gym was small but had everything you would need. The sauna was attached to the gym. It was also where the spa was located. My friends loved their massages. Be sure to sign up early because appointments go quickly for days at sea. There are plenty of windows to look out during the day, but at night, all of the windows are blacked out to prevent birds from colliding with the glass due to the reflection.
Dining
You will not go hungry on board the Ocean Albatros. Check out my guide to dining for more information.
Observation Deck
I spent the majority of my time on the observation deck. It was a perfect space to drink coffee and watch for wildlife.
